31/10/05 Ross Kemps contrat extended to three months. Due to the extremley high ratings since the come back of Grant Mitchell last week, Ross Kemp has agreed to stay on three more months. Ross is also good friends with the producer so he agreed that if the ratings go up heŽll stay for a longer period of time. 58 percent of viewers in the UK tuned in this last week to watch the return of one of Englands most popular characters in soap history. Eastenders cranked in over 13million viewers this past weeks due to his and onscreen brother Phil MitchellŽs return.

Mike Reid is set to return as  the legendary Frank Butcher at the end of the year. He returns for the trial of his daughter Janine Butcher. He only stays to see if his daughter will finally get her cummpance but he still raises a few eyebrows.

Joe Swash who plays charmer Mickey Miller was rushed to hospital on 2nd October with a deadly form of meningitis, but is now back at home resting. Doctors say he will make a full recovery.
